MATCHDAY 7 RESULTS
Bala Town 1-1 Aberystwyth Town
Bangor City 0-1 Barry Town United
Llandudno 1-2 Cefn Druids
Cardiff Met 2-1 Prestatyn Town
Carmarthen Town 0-5 The New Saints
Newtown 0-1 Connah’s Quay Nomads
GK-Mike Lewis (BARRY TOWN UNITED)
Simply outstanding as Barry Town shocked Bangor at Nantporth to pick up 3 points.
RB-Simon Spender (THE NEW SAINTS)
One of the most consistent players for the reigning champions, he was outstanding as they ran out 5-0 winners over Carmarthen Town.
CB-Blaine Hudson (THE NEW SAINTS)
Vital in attack and defence for The New Saints as he scored the opener and cleared a goal-bound shot off the line in a very good, dominant all-round performance.
CB-Jonny Spittle (ABERYSTWYTH TOWN)
Been crucial for Aberystwyth this season, and put in a very good display against Bala Town, even getting on the scoresheet as they won a point at Maes Tegid.
LB-Laurence Wilson (BANGOR CITY)
Was solid throughout the game for the Citizens, who ended up losing narrowly at home to Barry Town. Created a number of good chances, on a day where Bangor were unlucky to lose.
CM-Danny Hughes (LLANDUDNO)
Gave a tenacious display in midfield, and put Llandudno back in the match with his 57th minute goal.
CM-Callum Morris (CONNAH’S QUAY NOMADS)
Was a constant threat for the Nomads. His ‘goal’ was the most controversial decision of the weekend, with many suggesting it was cleared off the line, and others saying it was in – however, all that matters is the referee’s decision, and he awarded the goal.
CM-Alec Mudimu (CEFN DRUIDS)
A good performance in midfield by the Zimbabwean, and he scored an outstanding long range effort to put the Druids ahead.
CAM-Chris Seargeant (THE NEW SAINTS)-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Scored 3, assisted 1, and his free kick was crucial in the build up for Hudson’s opener as The New Saints ran rampant against Carmarthen at Richmond Park. Deservedly Player of the Week.
ST-Kayne Mclaggon (BARRY TOWN UNITED)
Was the difference yet again for Barry Town United, with a good performance against Bangor City at Nantporth, scoring the only goal of the game with less than 10 minutes remaining.
ST-Adam Roscrow (CARDIFF MET FC)
Great performance up front for the Students as they beat Prestatyn Town 2-1. Was alert enough to score Met’s second after a quickly taken free kick.
