MD8 Team

GK-Will Fuller (CARDIFF MET FC)
Put in a good, solid performance as the Students beat Llandudno 1-0.

RB-Dylan Reese (CARDIFF MET FC)
Was solid in defence, but got forward plenty and created a number of good chances for the Students.

CB-Craig Williams (NEWTOWN AFC)
Looked the best player on the field as Newtown battled Cefn Druids at the Rock. Won numerous challenges and got forward well, almost scoring in the second half. Dominant performance from the Robins captain.

CB-Anthony Miley (BANGOR CITY)
Was in for a tough time going up against former team-mate Les Davies, but put in a very solid display.

LB-Jack Lewis (PRESTATYN TOWN)
Scored a wonder goal that helped put Prestatyn on the path to a vital 3 points against Carmarthen. Looked very good going forward. Caught out a bit for Carmarthen’s second goal, but he recovered well and his second half defensive performance was much better.

CM-James Owen (CONNAH’S QUAY NOMADS)
Scored and won a penalty for his side in another impressive performance from the midfielder.

CM-Chris Baker (CARDIFF MET FC)
Put in a solid display in the centre of midfield for his side, looking good when defending and when attacking. Scored the only goal of the game with a calm finish from Eliot Evans’ pull back.

CM-Gary Taylor-Fletcher (BANGOR CITY)
Was fantastic throughout for the Citizens as they picked up 3 points at Maes Tegid for the first time in 5 years. He got stronger as the game progressed, and by the end of the match, he was creating plenty of chances for his side.

RF-Ryan Wignall (CONNAH’S QUAY NOMADS)
His pace caused the TNS backline plenty of problems, allowing him to create plenty of chances for the Nomads as they picked up a point against the reigning Champions.

ST-Greg Draper (THE NEW SAINTS)-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Was a constant threat for TNS, scoring 2 goals and putting in a very composed performance up  front.

LF-James Demetriou (BANGOR CITY)
Came on at half time, and caused Bala all kinds of problems. Created plenty of chances and looked exciting every time he got the ball. Scored a fantastic goal from distance that caught Ashley Morris out.
